APC PICKS FADUYILE FOR ONDO SOUTH SENATORIAL RERUN AS HE DELIVERS ACCEPTANCE SPEECH


The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the forthcoming Ondo South Senatorial District rerun election, Prof. Dayo Faduyile, OON, has expressed appreciation to party leaders and members following his emergence at the party’s primary election.

In an acceptance speech released after the primary, Prof. Faduyile described his emergence as a collective victory for the APC and a reflection of participatory democracy within the party.

He stated that the support he received from party members across the senatorial district was overwhelming and encouraging, noting that the process further strengthened democratic values within the APC in Ondo State.

Prof. Faduyile particularly appreciated the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for providing what he described as a level playing field during the conduct of the primary election.

According to him, the governor’s leadership and commitment to internal democracy ensured a peaceful and transparent process for party members participating in the exercise.

He also acknowledged the contributions of the immediate past Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District, Amb. (Sen.) Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR, whom he praised for laying a solid foundation during his time in the Senate.

The APC candidate said he was committed to building on the achievements recorded by the former senator while representing the people of Ondo South in the National Assembly.

Prof. Faduyile further extended an olive branch to other aspirants who contested the primary election, emphasizing the need for unity and collaboration ahead of the rerun election.

He maintained that the victory belonged to the APC as a party and urged members to work together to secure victory at the poll.

The APC candidate also commended the leadership of the party in Ondo State for their continued support and proactive approach to party affairs.

Speaking on the forthcoming rerun election, Prof. Faduyile called on party members and supporters to remain committed to the ideals of the APC and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He urged stakeholders within the party to intensify efforts towards ensuring victory for the APC in the rerun election and sustaining support for the administration of President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Prof. Faduyile concluded by thanking party members for their confidence in his candidacy, assuring residents of Ondo South Senatorial District of effective representation if elected.
