TINUBU SWEEPS ONDO APC PRIMARY WITH LANDSLIDE VICTORY


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has secured a sweeping victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election in Ondo State, polling a total of 181,996 votes to emerge victorious in the exercise held at the International Event Center (The Dome), Akure.

Tinubu defeated his only challenger, Mr. Osifo Osayamen Stanley, who recorded no vote in the primary election conducted across the state.

The result was officially announced by the Ondo State Governor and APC Presidential Primary Election Collation Officer, His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, during the collation and declaration ceremony attended by top party leaders, government officials, and APC stakeholders from across the state.

Among dignitaries present at the event were the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olaide Adelami; the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji; former Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko; Ambassador Sola Iji; Chief Olusola Oke (SAN); the Ondo State APC Chairman, Hon. Ade Adetimehin; Hon. Abegunde Ifedayo; members of the State Executive Council; political office holders; and party faithful.

Speaking after the announcement of the results, Governor Aiyedatiwa commended APC members across Ondo State for their massive turnout and peaceful participation in the primary election. He also expressed appreciation to party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters for their commitment to the unity and progress of the APC.

The governor described the outcome of the exercise as a reflection of the overwhelming support enjoyed by President Tinubu within the party structure in Ondo State.

The primary election forms part of the nationwide APC process ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
