ADEMOLA ADEBUSOYE CALLS FOR UNITY, HOPE AND GRASSROOTS DEVELOPMENT IN DEMOCRACY DAY MESSAGE

Ademola Adebusoye has joined Nigerians in commemorating the 2026 Democracy Day celebration, using the occasion to reflect on the importance of democratic governance and renew calls for unity, development, and people-centered leadership across Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Constituency in Ondo State.

In a message released to mark the annual celebration, Adebusoye expressed gratitude for the sacrifices of individuals whose struggles and commitment helped secure democratic governance in Nigeria, noting that June 12 remains a significant reminder of the nation’s collective pursuit of freedom, justice, and the right of citizens to determine their future through the democratic process.

He stated that democracy goes beyond periodic elections and the right to vote, emphasizing that true democratic governance should guarantee citizens access to quality infrastructure, improved healthcare services, functional educational systems, security, and opportunities capable of improving living standards.

Adebusoye acknowledged the economic realities currently facing many Nigerians, pointing to rising hardship, unemployment challenges, and inadequate infrastructure affecting communities across the country. According to him, despite the challenges, collective effort and purposeful leadership remain critical to changing the current narrative and delivering sustainable development to the people.

Speaking on his political aspiration under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), he said his ambition is rooted in service and commitment to representing the interests of the people rather than the pursuit of political power.

He assured residents of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Constituency of his readiness to listen to their concerns, prioritize community needs, and work toward initiatives capable of driving growth and development within the constituency.

Adebusoye further urged citizens to use the Democracy Day celebration as an opportunity to renew hope in the nation’s democratic process, strengthen unity among communities, and remain committed to building a society where equal opportunities exist for all citizens regardless of background.

He added that meaningful progress can only be achieved when citizens and leaders work together with a shared vision for a better future, stressing that collective responsibility remains essential to nation-building.

As Nigeria marks another Democracy Day anniversary, Adebusoye reaffirmed his optimism for a stronger constituency, a better Ondo State, and a more prosperous Nigeria founded on democratic values, justice, inclusion, and sustainable development.
