The Aiku Everbright International Foundation is set to hold its 2026 Widows Empowerment Programme, a large-scale humanitarian outreach designed to support 700 widows across the 18 Local Government Areas of Ondo State through the distribution of empowerment items aimed at improving livelihoods and restoring hope.

The initiative, which has become one of the foundation’s consistent social intervention programmes, is focused on reducing economic hardship among widows by providing practical support that can help them sustain small-scale businesses and improve their daily living conditions. Organisers say the programme is part of a broader commitment to community upliftment and social welfare.

Over the years, Aiku Everbright International Foundation has maintained a steady record of humanitarian engagements, particularly in reaching out to widows and vulnerable groups across communities, with interventions that continue to attract commendation for their impact and consistency.

The 2026 edition of the programme is being organised in collaboration with the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Ondo State Chapter, led by Rt. Hon. Speaker Isaiah Oyawale. The partnership is described as a strategic alignment aimed at strengthening grassroots empowerment and expanding the reach of humanitarian initiatives across the state.

According to the organisers, the collaboration with YAN Ondo State Chapter reflects shared values in community development, youth involvement in social impact programmes, and sustained support for vulnerable groups. The Youth Assembly of Nigeria, through its Ondo leadership, has continued to support initiatives that align with its objectives of promoting civic engagement, social responsibility, and inclusive development.
