ALADE 1 PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR IRU EKUN SECURITY OUTFIT DURING VISIT TO ILE-OLUJI COMMAND
ILE-OLUJI, ONDO STATE — Founder of the Alade Liberation Movement, Comrade Adesogo Olorungbamila, popularly known as Alade 1, has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting community security initiatives following a courtesy visit to the Iru Ekun Office in Ile-Oluji on Friday, June 5, 2026.
The visit came after an invitation extended to the community leader by the local security outfit. Iru Ekun is a grassroots security agency initiated by Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, with a mandate to complement existing security efforts in protecting communities from criminal activities.
During the visit, Comrade Olorungbamila was received by the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Commandant of Iru Ekun, Mr. Adebiyi Osunyikanmi, alongside members of the security outfit.
Speaking at the gathering, Alade 1 commended the dedication and courage of the personnel, praising their commitment to safeguarding lives and property across Ile-Oluji and surrounding communities.
He acknowledged the role being played by the outfit in assisting efforts to curb criminal activities and maintain peace within the area.
"I appreciate the sacrifices and commitment of the officers of Iru Ekun. Your determination in supporting the fight against criminality is commendable. Security remains everyone's responsibility, and your contributions to the safety of our communities deserve recognition," he said.
Comrade Olorungbamila also offered prayers for the success, protection, and well-being of members of the security outfit as they continue to carry out their duties.
As part of his commitment to strengthening community security, he pledged monthly interventions to support the operations of the outfit and further promised to provide essential materials that would enhance their effectiveness and improve their operational capacity.
In his response, the Commandant of Iru Ekun in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government, Mr. Adebiyi Osunyikanmi, expressed appreciation to Comrade Olorungbamila for honouring the invitation and for his willingness to support the organisation.
He described the gesture as a demonstration of community-minded leadership and noted that partnerships between stakeholders and security agencies remain vital in addressing security challenges.
"We are grateful to Comrade Adesogo Olorungbamila for taking the time to visit us and for the support he has promised. Such encouragement motivates our officers and strengthens our resolve to continue serving the people," Osunyikanmi stated.
The commandant assured residents that Iru Ekun would continue to work closely with other recognised security agencies in ensuring the safety and security of the kingdom and its neighbouring communities.
The visit concluded with discussions on strengthening collaboration between community stakeholders and security operatives to promote peace, security, and sustainable development across Ile-Oluji.
