HON. ADEBARE URGES NIGERIANS TO DEFEND JUSTICE, UNITY AND NATIONAL PROGRESS
As Nigerians commemorate the 2026 Democracy Day celebration, the Executive Chairman of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Hon. Adebare Adeboye, has called on citizens to remain committed to the principles of justice, unity, and service to humanity as foundations for sustainable national development.
In his Democracy Day message, Hon. Adebare described the annual celebration as a significant moment for Nigerians to reflect on the nation's democratic journey, acknowledge the sacrifices that have strengthened democratic governance, and renew their dedication to building a more prosperous and inclusive society.
The council chairman stressed that democracy thrives when citizens and leaders alike uphold the values of fairness, peaceful coexistence, accountability, and collective responsibility.
According to him, “As we celebrate Democracy Day, let us remain committed to the ideals of justice, unity, and service to humanity. Happy Democracy Day, Nigeria.”
Hon. Adebare noted that the continued growth of Nigeria's democracy depends on the active participation of citizens in promoting peace, supporting good governance, and contributing positively to their communities.
He further urged residents of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government and Nigerians across the country to remain united in the pursuit of national development, emphasizing the need for cooperation and shared commitment toward a better future.
The local government chairman also expressed optimism about Nigeria’s democratic future and encouraged citizens to remain hopeful and patriotic while supporting initiatives that foster progress and sustainable development.
He concluded by wishing Nigerians a peaceful, memorable, and fulfilling Democracy Day celebration.
