ILE-OLUJI/OKEIGBO COUNCIL BOSS GAINS RECOGNITION OVER DEVELOPMENT, SECURITY INITIATIVES


The Chairman of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Hon. Adebare Adeboye, has received commendation over ongoing infrastructure development and security improvement projects being implemented across communities within the council area.

The recognition was given by the Supervisor for Works, Land and Housing, Hon. Oyebade Lateef Adebayo, who acknowledged the chairman’s efforts in driving projects aimed at improving public facilities, supporting local businesses, and strengthening safety measures for residents.

Speaking on recent development activities carried out under the present administration, Adebayo said the local government leadership has remained focused on practical projects capable of delivering direct economic and social benefits to the people.

He pointed to the extensive transformation currently witnessed at Obada Market in Okeigbo as one of the administration’s major achievements. According to him, the market project involved the construction of modern lock-up shops, the rebuilding of hundreds of trading stalls, improved water supply through a newly installed borehole, as well as solar-powered street lighting designed to improve business activities and provide a safer trading environment.

Beyond market infrastructure, the council has also introduced security-focused projects targeted at improving surveillance and strengthening public safety across the local government.

As part of this effort, closed-circuit television cameras have been installed at important locations in Ile-Oluji and Okeigbo towns to improve monitoring operations and assist security agencies in maintaining law and order.

Adebayo stated that the projects reflect a deliberate effort by the local government administration to combine economic development with security enhancement in order to create a more stable and productive environment for residents.

He added that the leadership style of the chairman continues to reflect a clear commitment toward sustainable grassroots development and responsible governance, noting that the administration has prioritized projects capable of creating lasting value for communities within the local government.

The Works Supervisor further assured that his department remains committed to supporting ongoing development efforts and ensuring successful implementation of projects that will continue to improve the standard of living of residents across Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo.

Observers say recent developmental activities carried out by the council have continued to position the local government as one of the active centers of grassroots development efforts currently attracting attention within Ondo State.
