FRSC OPENS 2026 RECRUITMENT EXERCISE AS THOUSANDS OF NIGERIANS PREPARE TO APPLY

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has officially announced the commencement of its 2026 nationwide recruitment exercise, opening fresh employment opportunities for qualified Nigerians seeking to join the country’s road safety and traffic management agency.

According to details released for the exercise, the recruitment process is expected to begin through the agency’s official online application portal, where interested applicants will be required to submit their applications within the stipulated registration period. Authorities emphasized that the entire recruitment exercise is completely free, warning members of the public against making payments to individuals or groups claiming to offer special assistance.

The recruitment covers multiple categories across the agency’s operational structure. Under the Officer Cadre, vacancies are available for highly qualified professionals including medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, engineers, lawyers, medical laboratory scientists, as well as degree and Higher National Diploma holders applying for administrative and operational positions.

The exercise also includes openings under the Marshal Inspectorate Cadre, designed for applicants holding qualifications such as National Diploma (ND), Ordinary National Diploma (OND), National Certificate in Education (NCE), Registered Nursing certifications, and Community Health Extension Worker credentials.

For applicants with secondary school qualifications, opportunities are available under the Road Marshal Assistant Cadre, where candidates with a minimum of three credit passes in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, including English Language and Mathematics, can participate in the recruitment process.

Specialized positions are also available for skilled workers including drivers, motorcycle riders, mechanics, electricians, plumbers, computer operators, tailors, and other technical professionals, provided they possess relevant trade certifications and, where necessary, valid driver’s licenses.

FRSC stated that all applicants must be Nigerians by birth, physically and mentally fit, medically certified by a recognized government hospital, and possess good character without any criminal record. The agency also outlined height requirements of 1.65 meters for male applicants and 1.58 meters for female applicants.

Applicants in professional fields are expected to present valid practicing licenses where applicable, while candidates are advised to provide accurate information regarding their educational qualifications and personal details during the registration process.

The road safety agency further urged interested candidates to use only official channels when applying and avoid falling victim to fraudsters who may attempt to exploit the recruitment exercise.

The FRSC recruitment exercise is expected to attract thousands of applications nationwide as job seekers continue to explore employment opportunities within federal government agencies.
