Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, has appointed former Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana and ex-Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, as the Director-General of his campaign ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The announcement signals a major development within the APC's preparations for the forthcoming election, with Obanikoro expected to coordinate campaign activities and mobilization efforts across the state.

Obanikoro, a seasoned politician and former senator who represented Lagos Central Senatorial District, brings decades of political experience to the campaign.
