The Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, has confirmed the receipt of a total of ₦10.1 million in student loan disbursements from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for 113 students of the institution during the 2025/2026 academic session.

The confirmation was contained in an official letter dated March 30, 2026, signed by the Rector of the institution, Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, and addressed to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NELFUND.

According to the letter, the institution's Governing Council, Management, and students expressed appreciation to NELFUND for its commitment to supporting students and expanding access to higher education across Nigeria.

NELFUND Disburses ₦10.1 Million to 113 Students

The Rector disclosed that the latest disbursement covered the third and fourth batches of beneficiaries, bringing financial relief to students facing educational expenses.

The breakdown of the disbursement is as follows:

3rd Batch: 46 students received ₦4,130,000

4th Batch: 67 students received ₦5,970,000

Total: 113 students benefited from ₦10,100,000

The funds were reportedly disbursed to the institution's account on February 26, 2026, and March 9, 2026, respectively.


Rector Commends NELFUND's Impact

In the letter, Dr. Ebeloku praised NELFUND for helping students pursue their academic goals without being hindered by financial difficulties.

He noted that the initiative has provided opportunities for students from different socioeconomic backgrounds to remain in school and complete their education.

The Rector further conveyed the appreciation of the beneficiaries and the institution's management, describing the programme as a significant intervention in Nigeria's education sector.

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund was established by the Federal Government to ensure that no qualified Nigerian student is denied access to higher education due to lack of funds.
