The Oijefon Youth Council (OYC), under the leadership of Engr. Adedokun Adeyonu, recorded a remarkable success on Friday as youths turned out in large numbers for a special Prayer Walk Against Untimely Death Among the Youths of Our Land.

The event, which replaced the previously scheduled road show following a directive from the OYC leadership, attracted an impressive turnout of young people from across the community, demonstrating unity and a shared commitment to seeking divine intervention for the peace, protection, and prosperity of Oijefon land.

The prayer walk commenced from the Ile-Oluji Roundabout, moving through major parts of the town with participants offering fervent prayers against untimely death, insecurity, violence, and other challenges confronting young people in society.

Several respected ministers of God were present to lead the spiritual exercise, including Apostle Ralph Obolanle of LISAM, Pastor Isaac Temidayo of CCAM, and Pastor Dahunsi, among other clerics who joined the youths in interceding for the land and its people.

A major highlight of the exercise was the visit to the palace of His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Julius Oluwole Olufaderin Adetimehin, Jomoko II, Jegun of Ile-Oluji and Paramount Ruler of Ile-Oluji Kingdom. The youths paid homage to the revered monarch and offered prayers for the continued peace, development, and progress of the kingdom.

The event showcased the unity, discipline, and spiritual consciousness of the youths, as participants marched peacefully while declaring prayers for divine protection and a brighter future for the younger generation.

Speaking on the success of the programme, the leadership of the Oijefon Youth Council expressed appreciation to all participants, ministers, community leaders, and supporters who contributed to the success of the initiative. The council noted that the overwhelming turnout reflected the determination of Oijefon youths to stand together in faith and work collectively for the advancement of their community.

Residents who witnessed the exercise commended the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful, especially at a period when communities are increasingly seeking solutions to social and security challenges through unity and spiritual engagement.

The successful prayer walk has further reinforced the commitment of the Oijefon Youth Council, led by Engr. Adedokun Adeyonu, to promoting peace, moral values, youth development, and community cohesion across Ile-Oluji and beyond.

The event ended on a hopeful note, with participants expressing confidence that the prayers offered would bring divine protection, healing, and lasting peace to the land and its people.
