ONDO GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES MASSIVE SECURITY CRACKDOWN AFTER OSE KIDNAP, ASSURES RESIDENTS OF SWIFT ACTION

The Ondo State Government has intensified security operations following the reported attack on Igbosi Community in Idogun, Ose Local Government Area, and the abduction of a nine-year-old boy by suspected kidnappers.

In a statement issued on Friday by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Idowu Ajanaku, the government expressed deep concern over the incident and appealed to residents to remain calm as security agencies work to secure the victim's release and apprehend those responsible.

According to the statement, the state government immediately activated a coordinated security response upon receiving reports of the attack. Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency (Amotekun Corps), the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigerian military have been deployed to the affected area.

The security teams are currently conducting intensive search and combing operations across the community, nearby forests, and other strategic locations within and outside Ose Local Government Area as part of efforts to track down the perpetrators.

The government assured residents that the security situation is being closely monitored and professionally managed by relevant agencies. It also disclosed that additional security measures have been implemented in the affected area while intelligence-gathering efforts continue.

Residents of Ose Local Government Area and neighbouring communities were urged to remain vigilant and cooperate with security personnel by providing useful information that could assist ongoing operations.

The government also reiterated the commitment of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa's administration to safeguarding lives and property across the state, expressing confidence that the ongoing joint security operation would produce positive results.

While appreciating the prompt response of security agencies, the state government advised members of the public to avoid spreading unverified information capable of causing panic and to continue supporting efforts aimed at maintaining peace and security.

The attack on Igbosi Community has heightened concerns about security in parts of Ose Local Government Area, with residents hoping for the safe rescue of the abducted child and the arrest of those behind the incident.
