ONDO LAWMAKER DISTRIBUTES EMPOWERMENT AMONG 300 CONSTITUENTS, RALLIES SUPPORT FOR TINUBU’S 2027 BID

A member of the Ondo State House of Assembly representing Ondo West Constituency 2, Mr Biola Oladapo, has called on residents of his constituency to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election, while highlighting his ongoing constituency empowerment initiatives.

Oladapo, who also serves as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the forthcoming House of Assembly election in the constituency, said he has begun grassroots mobilisation efforts aimed at strengthening political support for the President across Ondo State.

According to a statement issued by his media aide, Kabiru Okunoye, the lawmaker said the campaign is focused on consolidating what he described as ongoing development efforts by the federal government.

He stated that constituents should support continuity in governance, noting that several federal initiatives in infrastructure, youth empowerment, and economic development require sustained implementation.

“We have already begun grassroots mobilisation for the President in our constituency. Mr President has tried for our state and the country in general in the areas of economy, infrastructure, youth empowerment, among others,” Oladapo was quoted as saying.

He also appealed for support for his re-election bid into the State House of Assembly, expressing confidence in his performance over the past three years.

Oladapo said his office has empowered more than 300 constituents within the period, including youths, farmers, women, and widows, through financial support and business tools intended to promote self-reliance.

The statement further highlighted that the lawmaker has carried out multiple constituency projects spanning education, infrastructure, and social welfare. These include tuition support for indigent students, distribution of educational materials under a “Back to School” initiative, and facilitation of admissions into higher institutions.

It added that more than 200 residents had benefited from recent empowerment programmes, while additional beneficiaries received cash assistance, food support, and health-related aid.

Other interventions attributed to the lawmaker include provision of transformers to rural communities, grading of rural roads, installation of solar-powered streetlights, and facilitation of employment opportunities at state agencies. The statement also noted efforts to support pensioners and improve community security infrastructure.

Oladapo further maintained that regular town hall meetings have helped strengthen engagement between constituents and their representative, enabling greater participation in governance and local decision-making.

He said his approach combines legislative duties with direct constituency interventions aimed at addressing immediate community needs.

The statement concluded that constituents have acknowledged improvements in access to basic amenities and empowerment opportunities over the past three years.
