ONDO NEW HEAD OF SERVICE URGES PUBLIC SERVANTS TO REMAIN LOYAL TO STATE GOVERNMENT


The Ondo State Head of Service, Chief Segun Odusanya, has urged public servants in the state to remain committed and loyal to the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in order to support the successful implementation of the government’s development agenda.

Odusanya gave the charge on Tuesday while receiving members of the Executive Committee of the Ondo State Senior Staff Club during a congratulatory visit to his office in Akure.

According to a statement issued by the Director of Information in the Office of the Head of Service, Mr. Sina Adeyeye, the Head of Service emphasized the importance of continued loyalty among workers as the state government works toward achieving the objectives of the administration’s development blueprint known as the OUR EASE Agenda.

During the meeting, Odusanya highlighted several initiatives and achievements recorded under Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration, describing the support of civil servants as critical to sustaining effective governance and service delivery across the state.

He also warned members of the Senior Staff Club against allowing non-members or individuals with intentions contrary to the objectives of the club to infiltrate its activities.

According to him, the club was originally established as a platform where public servants could interact, relax after official duties, and engage in discussions that promote professional growth and development within the civil service.

Odusanya, who previously served as President of the Senior Staff Club, stressed the need for responsible management and proper use of the facility to ensure it continues to serve its intended purpose.

He advised members to avoid activities capable of introducing unnecessary division or partisan political conflicts that could undermine the unity and professional values of the civil service.

Speaking during the visit, the Head of Service noted that the founding idea behind the club was to create a central meeting point for workers to unwind while also discussing developmental issues affecting public service operations in the state.

He urged workers not to lose sight of that purpose and maintain professionalism in all activities connected to the club.

Odusanya further stated that civil servants are expected to demonstrate total commitment to the government in power while carrying out their duties, stressing that loyalty remains an important principle in public service administration.

Earlier, the President of the Ondo State Senior Staff Club, Comrade Mike Olaleye, commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for appointing Chief Odusanya as Head of Service.

Olaleye described the appointment as timely and expressed confidence in Odusanya’s ability to provide effective leadership for the civil service based on his longstanding relationship with the club and experience within the state workforce.

He also pledged the continued support of the Senior Staff Club to both the state government and the Office of the Head of Service throughout Odusanya’s tenure.

The visit forms part of ongoing engagements between government officials and workers’ groups as the Ondo State administration continues efforts aimed at strengthening public service efficiency and governance delivery.
