The Executive Chairman of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area, Hon. Adebare Adeboye, has intensified grassroots mobilization ahead of the upcoming Ondo South Senatorial Bye-Election, calling on residents across Ile-Oluji and Okeigbo to turn out massively and participate actively in Saturday’s decisive poll.

Speaking ahead of the election scheduled for June 20, 2026, Adebare urged eligible voters not to treat the exercise with indifference, stressing that the outcome of the election will play a significant role in shaping the future political and developmental direction of Ondo South Senatorial District.

The council chairman encouraged the people to fully embrace their civic responsibility by coming out early on election day and casting their votes peacefully, emphasizing that strong voter participation remains one of the most effective ways citizens can influence governance and ensure quality representation.

According to him, the senatorial bye-election presents an important opportunity for communities within the district to choose leadership capable of effectively representing their interests while attracting projects and developmental opportunities that will positively impact the region.

Adebare also called for collective support for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Professor Dayo Faduyile, describing him as a seasoned professional with the experience and leadership capacity needed to deliver effective representation at the National Assembly.

He stated that Ondo South requires purposeful representation that can drive conversations around economic growth, youth empowerment, improved infrastructure, job creation, and sustainable development for communities across the district.

The local government chairman further appealed to community stakeholders, market leaders, youth organizations, women groups, traditional institutions, and party supporters to work together in ensuring high voter turnout throughout Ile-Oluji and Okeigbo during the election.

He noted that beyond political affiliation, the election represents an important democratic opportunity for residents to make decisions that directly affect the future of their communities and the overall progress of the senatorial district.

Adebare stressed the importance of maintaining peace throughout the electoral process and urged residents to conduct themselves responsibly before, during, and after voting.

He expressed confidence that with strong participation from voters across the local government, the election would further strengthen democratic representation while advancing the collective interests of Ondo South.

“I want to encourage our people in Ile-Oluji and Okeigbo not to stay back on election day. This is an important moment for our communities and for the future of Ondo South. Everyone should come out, vote peacefully, and be part of shaping the future we desire,” he said.

As final preparations continue ahead of the bye-election, political stakeholders across the district have continued to emphasize the importance of active voter participation and peaceful conduct as critical elements for a successful electoral process.
