APC POWERBROKERS STORM ILE-OLUJI AS SUPPORT GROWS FOR FADUYILE AHEAD OF ONDO SOUTH BY-ELECTION


Top leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from across Ondo State on Wednesday gathered in Ile-Oluji, headquarters of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area, in a major political rally as the party intensified its campaign efforts ahead of the Ondo South Senatorial By-election scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2026.

The gathering marked the official unveiling of Professor Dayo Faduyile as the APC candidate for the highly anticipated senatorial election, with party leaders expressing confidence that the ruling party is positioned strongly for victory at the polls.

The campaign event attracted several influential political figures, party executives, grassroots mobilisers, supporters and stakeholders from different parts of Ondo State, reflecting what observers described as one of the biggest APC mobilization efforts ahead of the election.

The event was hosted by the Executive Chairman of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government, Hon. Adebare Adeboye, who welcomed party leaders and supporters alongside prominent APC figures in the local government, including Ondo State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Olaolu Akindolire, APC Chairman in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo, Hon. Jerome Olorunyolemi, and other party stakeholders.

Speaking during the rally, APC Senatorial Chairman for Ondo South, Hon. Bode Ikulala, formally introduced Professor Faduyile to party members and residents, describing him as a qualified and experienced leader capable of effectively representing the interests of the people at the National Assembly.

According to Ikulala, the party carefully selected a candidate with the leadership capacity needed to drive development, protect the interests of constituents and strengthen representation for communities across Ondo South Senatorial District.

He called on party members to remain united and work collectively to secure victory for APC in the upcoming election.

Also addressing supporters at the event, APC Chairman in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government, Hon. Jerome Olorunyolemi, described Professor Faduyile as a trusted and credible candidate who has the full backing of the party.

He expressed confidence that voters within the local government and across the senatorial district would support APC during Saturday’s election.

Several notable party leaders and political figures attended the event, including Senior Advocate of Nigeria and APC chieftain, Chief Olusola Oke, former political office holders, ward chairmen, councillors, women leaders, youth representatives, and other stakeholders from across the state.

In his remarks, Chief Olusola Oke urged residents of Ile-Oluji and Okeigbo communities to support Professor Faduyile, stating that the APC candidate possesses the experience and leadership qualities required to provide effective representation for the district.

He noted that strong legislative representation would be critical in attracting development opportunities and federal presence to communities within Ondo South.

Addressing supporters, Professor Dayo Faduyile thanked party leaders for the confidence placed in him and pledged to deliver quality representation if elected into the Senate.

He promised to focus on youth empowerment, human capital development, improved economic opportunities, stronger healthcare and education systems, as well as legislative initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of people across Ondo South Senatorial District.

Faduyile also assured supporters that he would prioritize programmes capable of creating opportunities for young people while ensuring the district benefits from national development initiatives.

Speaking on behalf of political leaders in the local government, Hon. Adebare Adeboye said APC members in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo were fully mobilized and prepared to deliver strong support for the party’s candidate.

He urged party members and supporters to intensify grassroots mobilisation efforts before election day, emphasizing that victory would depend on unity, commitment and active participation of party members.
