OSAWA HAILS FADUYILE’S LANDSLIDE VICTORY IN ONDO SOUTH SENATORIAL BY-ELECTION, FORECASTS NEW DEVELOPMENT PUSH

The Ondo South Advancement and Welfare Consultative Association (OSAWA) has congratulated Prof. Dayo Faduyile on his resounding victory in the Ondo South Senatorial District by-election held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The association described the outcome as a strong indication of public confidence in Prof. Faduyile, noting that his record of service, leadership experience, and development-focused engagements contributed significantly to his electoral success. According to OSAWA, the Senator-elect has demonstrated the capacity and vision required to effectively represent the interests of constituents and contribute meaningfully to legislative duties at the National Assembly.

OSAWA further stated that it actively mobilised its members across the six local government areas of Ondo South ahead of the election, encouraging broad-based participation and support for the APC candidate. It added that it also carried out voter sensitisation campaigns aimed at strengthening civic awareness and promoting active engagement in the democratic process.

The association commended the impressive voter turnout recorded across the senatorial district despite the short notice preceding the by-election. It described the development as a reflection of political awareness, unity of purpose, and the commitment of residents to democratic participation and collective decision-making.

OSAWA also acknowledged the roles played by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, political parties, traditional rulers, community leaders, and other stakeholders in ensuring a peaceful, credible, and orderly electoral process.

The group expressed confidence that Prof. Faduyile’s tenure in the Senate would bring improved representation, expanded opportunities, and accelerated development to Ondo South Senatorial District. It also wished the Senator-elect a productive and impactful term in office.
