PROPHET SAMSON OLUWAMODEDE CLARIFIES “PRAYER WALK” EVENT, DISMISSES CLAIMS OF PROTEST INVOLVEMENT
Prophet Samson Oluwamodede, the General Overseer of Prayer Centre Church of God Worldwide, has clarified reports circulating online suggesting that he led a protest on Saturday, 7 June 2026.
In a statement shared via his official Facebook page, the cleric emphasized that he has never been involved in or supported any form of protest in Nigeria. He stated that his previous broadcasts and public messages have consistently focused on peace, prayer, and spiritual guidance for the nation.
According to him, the gathering held on 7 June 2026 was a “prayer walk” organized to seek divine intervention for Nigeria amid current national challenges, and not a protest as reported in some online publications.
He urged the public to disregard what he described as misleading interpretations of the event, noting that the intention was strictly spiritual and intercessory in nature.
The cleric reaffirmed his commitment to peaceful engagement and prayers for national stability, calling on supporters and the general public to remain focused on messages of unity and hope.
The statement was signed and released through his official Facebook page on 7 June 2026.
