YAN SPEAKER ISAIAH OYAWALE CALLS FOR APC UNITY IN ONDO, URGES AIYEDATIWA, TUNJI-OJO CAMPS TO CLOSE RANKS

As political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Speaker of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Ondo State Chapter, Rt. Hon. Isaiah Oyawale, has appealed to leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State to embrace unity, reconciliation, and collective commitment to the party's future.

In a statement made available to Opima RealNews, Oyawale urged supporters of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, to put aside differences arising from the party's primary election and work together in the overall interest of the APC.

According to him, political contests naturally produce varying opinions and interests, but such differences should remain internal party affairs and should not be allowed to weaken the party's cohesion after the conclusion of the primary process.

He noted that the focus should now shift from political rivalry to strengthening the APC ahead of future electoral contests, stressing that unity among party leaders and members would be crucial to consolidating the party's achievements and ensuring continued electoral success.

Oyawale said the period leading to the 2027 general elections presents an opportunity for reconciliation, understanding, and collaboration among all stakeholders, adding that the APC in Ondo State must speak with one voice if it hopes to record victories for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Assembly candidates, and other party flag bearers across the state.

The youth leader further appealed to Governor Aiyedatiwa, Minister Tunji-Ojo, their supporters, and other APC stakeholders to embrace dialogue and peaceful engagement, emphasizing that any misunderstandings from the primary election should be resolved in the interest of party unity and the continued development of Ondo State.

He maintained that history has shown that united political parties stand a better chance of achieving electoral success than those divided by internal disagreements, urging members of the APC to place the collective interest of the party above personal ambitions.

Oyawale also expressed confidence that a united APC would remain well-positioned to sustain good governance, strengthen its grassroots support, and secure future electoral victories.

Hon. Isaiah Oyawale currently serves as the Speaker of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Ondo State Chapter. He is a former Student Union President and has held several executive positions at the party level, where he has been involved in youth leadership, political mobilization, and grassroots party activities.

He concluded by urging party faithful to remain focused on building a stronger APC capable of delivering sustained development for Ondo State and contributing to the party's success at the national level.
