APC NATIONAL CHAIRMAN MARKS ONE YEAR IN OFFICE, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO PARTY UNITY

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has marked his first year in office, expressing gratitude to party members and stakeholders while reaffirming his commitment to strengthening the ruling party and supporting its vision for national development.

In a statement released on Friday to commemorate the anniversary, Yilwatda described the past year as one of "immense responsibility, purposeful service, and collective accomplishment," saying the achievements recorded were made possible through the support and dedication of party leaders and members across the country.

He thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for what he described as his confidence and unwavering support. The APC National Chairman also acknowledged the contributions of the National Working Committee, APC governors, elected representatives, party leaders, stakeholders, and party faithful for their loyalty and commitment.

According to Yilwatda, the party has spent the last 12 months consolidating unity, strengthening its institutional structures, expanding consultations, and promoting a culture of inclusion and shared responsibility.

He said the APC's electoral victories during the period reflect the confidence many Nigerians continue to place in the party, adding that the successes belong to every committed member and reinforce the APC's position as a leading platform for progressive governance.

Looking ahead, the APC chairman said the anniversary serves not only as a time for reflection but also as a renewed commitment to greater service. He pledged to continue strengthening internal democracy, modernising the party's administration, increasing engagement with members, and positioning the APC for future electoral success while supporting President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.

Yilwatda also reaffirmed his commitment to leading the party with humility, fairness, transparency, and dedication.

He expressed optimism about the future of the party, stating that the APC would continue working towards greater unity while contributing to the peace, stability, and prosperity of Nigeria.

The statement was signed by Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and dated July 24, 2026.
