APC REWARDS LOYALTY AS ONDO CHAIRMAN PRESENTS TOYOTA CAMRY, MOTORCYCLES TO DEDICATED MEMBERS
The Ondo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, has presented a brand new Toyota Camry to a loyal party member, Mr. Segun Agbogulori, popularly known as "70/80", in recognition of his dedication to the party and support for the administration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
The presentation took place on Saturday, July 18, 2026, during the annual Yam Festival in Epinmi Akoko, Akoko South East Local Government Area, where party members, traditional rulers, and community leaders gathered for the cultural celebration.
According to the APC, the recognition forms part of ongoing efforts under Governor Aiyedatiwa's OUR EASE agenda to encourage grassroots mobilization, reward commitment, and promote inclusive governance.
Representing the state chairman at the ceremony, the Vice Chairman of Akoko South East Local Government, Arc. Benjamin Ojumu, presented the vehicle to the beneficiary in the company of elder statesman, Rt. Capt. Vincent Oyepata.
The event attracted several dignitaries, including councillors, supervisors, and APC leaders from across the local government area.
Speaking during the occasion, the Gbiri of Epinmi Land, His Royal Highness Oba Usman Idris, commended Governor Aiyedatiwa and the APC leadership for recognising loyal party members. The monarch described the gesture as an encouragement for dedication and service, while reaffirming the community's support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and APC candidates in future elections.
Oba Idris also urged youths in Epinmi Akoko to embrace hard work, discipline, and integrity, noting that loyalty and commitment remain essential values for personal and community development.
Party members and community stakeholders welcomed the presentation, describing it as a morale booster for supporters ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The APC also disclosed that the recognition programme is ongoing, noting that three motorcycles were distributed to three other dedicated party members across the state the previous week as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots engagement.
Following the Epinmi Akoko event, Hon. Babatunde attended the final burial ceremony of Pa Emmanuel Babatunde Alade and Princess Juliana Mopelade Alade in Oyin Akoko at the invitation of APC stalwart, Rear Admiral Samuel Alade.
Among dignitaries present at the burial were the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olayide Adelami, mni; APC chieftain Dr. Tunji Abayomi; the Commissioner for Water Resources, Public Sanitation and Hygiene, Hon. Ayodele Samson Akande; traditional rulers, religious leaders, and other APC stakeholders.
