REPORTED CAR HIJACK ATTEMPT FOILED ON ONDO–ILE-OLUJI EXPRESSWAY


A reported case of an attempted car hijacking occurred on Sunday along the popular Ondo–Ile-Oluji Expressway at Ota 'San in Ile-Oluji, Ondo State.

According to information available to Opima RealNews, suspected armed men allegedly attempted to hijack a vehicle from its owner while the victim was driving along the road. However, the attempt was reportedly foiled following the intervention of security operatives.

Sources said the victim sustained injuries during the incident and has been taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical treatment.

The report further indicates that the vehicle was driven into a nearby bush during the attack. As of the time of filing this report, the identities of the perpetrators have not been established, while security agencies have commenced efforts to track down those responsible.
