ENUGU AIR CONFIRMS RUNWAY INCIDENT IN BENIN, ALL PASSENGERS AND CREW SAFE


Enugu Air has confirmed that one of its aircraft was involved in a runway incursion after landing at Benin Airport on Thursday, assuring the public that all passengers and crew members were safely evacuated without injuries.

In a statement issued by the airline, the aircraft experienced the runway incident shortly after landing, but there were no casualties.

The airline stated that all passengers and crew disembarked safely and that the aircraft has since been secured. It also confirmed that the relevant aviation authorities have been notified in line with standard operational procedures.

According to Enugu Air, an assessment of the aircraft and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the runway incursion are currently underway.

The airline further warned that the incident could temporarily affect its flight operations, noting that some schedules may be adjusted while the situation is being managed. It assured affected passengers that they would be contacted directly and provided with the necessary assistance.

Reaffirming its commitment to safety, Enugu Air said the well-being of its passengers, crew, and operations remains its highest priority and pledged to provide further updates through its official communication channels as more information becomes available.
