LG SECRETARY COMMENDS GOV. AIYEDATIWA, HON. ADEBARE FOR SWIFT INTERVENTION IN ILE-OLUJI/OKEIGBO


The Secretary to the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government, Hon. Samson Agboola, has expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Adebare Adeboye, for their prompt response to the recent flooding that affected parts of the council area.

In a statement, Hon. Agboola described the state government's swift approval and deployment of an amphibious excavator for the dredging of waterways in Okeigbo and Ile-Oluji as a timely intervention that has renewed hope among residents and demonstrated the administration's commitment to protecting lives and property.

He also commended Hon. Adebare Adeboye for his proactive leadership and immediate engagement with the Ondo State Government, noting that the Chairman's prompt appeal played a significant role in facilitating the intervention.

According to the Local Government Secretary, the collaborative efforts of the Governor and the Council Chairman reflect responsive and people-centred governance, while reinforcing their commitment to addressing environmental challenges confronting communities within the local government.

Hon. Agboola prayed for continued wisdom, strength, good health, and divine guidance for both leaders as they continue to serve the people of Ondo State and Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government.

He added that residents remain grateful for the timely intervention, expressing optimism that the ongoing dredging exercise will significantly reduce the risk of future flooding and safeguard communities across the local government.
