ILE-OLUJI CULTURAL ASSOCIATION COMMENDS SECURITY AGENCIES, CALLS FOR HEIGHTENED VIGILANCE

The Ile-Oluji Cultural Association (ICA), Indianapolis, Indiana, has commended security agencies for their swift response to the recent security incident in Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, describing their professionalism and timely intervention as instrumental in restoring calm and preventing loss of lives.

In a statement issued on behalf of the association's President, Sir Pascal Sunday Akinbobola (PSA), and signed by the Security Committee of ICA, the association expressed gratitude to all security personnel who participated in the operation, acknowledging their courage, dedication, and commitment to protecting lives and property.

According to the statement, the prompt response of the security agencies reassured residents and demonstrated the importance of maintaining an effective security presence within the community.

While applauding the efforts of the security operatives, the association urged them not to relent in their responsibilities. It stressed the need for continuous surveillance, improved intelligence gathering, and stronger collaboration between security agencies, community leaders, and residents to prevent future security threats.

The association also appealed to residents of Ile-Oluji and surrounding communities to remain vigilant and cooperate with security personnel by reporting suspicious movements and activities promptly. It emphasized that security is a collective responsibility that requires the active participation of every member of the community.

Furthermore, ICA advised residents to exercise caution in their daily movements by avoiding unnecessary travel during late hours where possible and, when necessary, moving in groups rather than alone to improve personal safety and ensure that help can be mobilized quickly in the event of an emergency.

The association equally called on government authorities, traditional institutions, community leaders, and neighboring communities to strengthen cooperation through enhanced surveillance, intelligence sharing, and coordinated security measures aimed at safeguarding lives and property.

Reaffirming its commitment to the peace and development of Ile-Oluji, the association encouraged residents to remain calm, rely on credible sources of information, and continue supporting the efforts of security agencies in maintaining law and order.
