ESE-ODO LG CHAIRMAN MOL0S DISBURSES N3.06 MILLION TO 151 RESIDENTS, SUSTAINS MONTHLY SUPPORT INITIATIVE


The Executive Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government Area in Ondo State, High Chief Caleb Ebimobowei Molos, has distributed a total of N3.06 million to 151 beneficiaries across the council area as part of his administration’s ongoing grassroots support initiative for the second quarter of 2026.

The financial assistance, which covered the months of April to June 2026, was extended to residents drawn from the 10 political wards within the local government area under the Chairman’s Monthly Humanity Support Scheme, a programme designed to provide direct relief to citizens facing economic challenges.

According to information released by the Chairman’s office, the funds were sourced from High Chief Molos’ monthly salaries and allowances, reflecting what the administration described as a commitment to people-centered leadership and community welfare.

Speaking on the initiative, the council chairman said the programme was introduced in October 2025 after recognizing the economic difficulties many residents at the grassroots level continue to experience.

He explained that the objective of the support scheme is to provide immediate financial relief that can assist families with basic needs including food, education expenses, healthcare, and small-scale business support.

High Chief Molos further reaffirmed that the intervention programme would continue on a monthly basis throughout his tenure as Executive Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government.

He noted that although the individual allocations may appear modest, the broader goal remains to provide practical support capable of improving the daily lives of residents and reducing financial pressure on vulnerable households.

The chairman also stated that beneficiaries for the second-quarter disbursement were selected through collaboration with community stakeholders, ward representatives, and youth leadership structures to ensure fairness, transparency, and equal representation across all wards.

Several beneficiaries who received the financial support expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that has positively impacted many households, particularly in riverine and underserved communities within the local government area.

Since assuming office, High Chief Molos has continued to emphasize social welfare programmes alongside infrastructure development and human capital investment as part of efforts aimed at promoting inclusive governance and reducing poverty within Ese-Odo Local Government.

The chairman also appreciated residents of the council area for their continued support and encouraged other stakeholders and prominent sons and daughters of Ese-Odo to contribute toward community development and grassroots empowerment.

The Monthly Humanity Support Scheme remains one of the administration’s notable social intervention programmes focused on improving the wellbeing of residents across the local government area.
