KENNY KUNMA JOINS OKITIPUPA/IRELE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES RACE, DECLARES 2027 CANDIDACY ON NDC PLATFORM


Prince Kenny Adekanmi, popularly known as Kenny Kunma, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general election under the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

In a statement announcing his candidacy, Adekanmi said his decision followed what he described as years of appeals from constituents, as well as extensive consultations, prayers, and reflections with socio-cultural and political stakeholders across the federal constituency.

According to him, accepting the call to contest is a commitment to providing people-oriented representation and contributing to the development of Okitipupa and Irele communities.

The NDC candidate expressed confidence that he can deliver transformative leadership if elected, urging constituents to support his vision for improved representation at the National Assembly.

Adekanmi stated that the decision to adopt the NDC as his political platform was reached after broad consultations and was made in what he described as the best interest of the people of the constituency. He also confirmed that he has emerged as the party's candidate for the election.

He appreciated the leadership of the NDC, party members, supporters, and residents for their confidence in his vision, while calling on people across political affiliations to unite in pursuit of effective representation.

The candidate further emphasized the need for a representative who prioritizes the welfare and aspirations of the people, adding that the constituency office should serve as a platform for attracting development and delivering meaningful dividends of democracy.

Adekanmi concluded by seeking the prayers and support of constituents as he begins his campaign ahead of the 2027 general election, expressing optimism that collective efforts can bring about the desired progress for the federal constituency.
