APC ACHIEVES 100% CANDIDATE SUBMISSION AS 471 NAMES MAKE INEC PORTAL FOR 2027 ELECTIONS
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the successful upload of all its candidates for the 2027 general elections on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Candidate Nomination Portal (ICNP), completing the submission process ahead of the elections.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the party's National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, the APC confirmed that it submitted a total of 471 candidates, comprising its presidential and vice-presidential ticket, 109 senatorial candidates, and 360 House of Representatives candidates.
Professor Yilwatda described the completion of the nomination process as a major milestone for the ruling party and commended party leaders, candidates, and members for their commitment.
"I congratulate our candidates, leaders, and members of APC on the successful 100% upload of our Presidential, Vice Presidential, Senate, and House of Representatives candidates on the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal (ICNP)," he said.
He noted that with the nomination exercise concluded, the party would now concentrate on grassroots mobilization and campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
"With this milestone achieved, our focus now shifts to mobilization and preparations for a successful campaign and decisive victory at the polls," the APC National Chairman added.
The successful upload of candidates marks the completion of a key electoral requirement in preparation for the 2027 general elections, with political parties expected to intensify campaign activities in the coming months.
