EMOTIONAL SCENES AS JUBILATION ERUPTS WHEN RESCUED OYO PUPILS, TEACHERS RETURN HOME


Jubilation erupted on Friday as government officials and security operatives escorted the recently rescued pupils and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State back to safety.

The arrival of the victims sparked emotional scenes, with family members, residents, and well-wishers expressing joy and relief after the pupils and teachers spent 56 days in captivity.

The victims were received by government officials and security agencies following a successful rescue operation carried out by the military, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigeria Police Force, which led to the arrest of eight suspected kidnappers while several others were neutralised.

The rescue marks the end of a traumatic ordeal for the victims and their families, as many Nigerians continue to commend the security agencies for the successful operation.
