TINUBU OFFICIALLY PICKS RUNNING MATE, SUBMITS APC NOMINATION FOR 2027 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially submitted his Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination forms to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), confirming his bid for re-election in the 2027 presidential election.

The President also formally unveiled Vice President Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2027 poll.

Tinubu's decision was conveyed through his Special Adviser on Political Affairs, Ibrahim Masari, who presented both the presidential nomination form and Shettima's vice-presidential nomination form during a brief ceremony attended by APC leaders at the Continental Hotel in Abuja.


The submission marks a significant milestone in the APC's preparations for the 2027 general election, officially confirming the continuation of the Tinubu-Shettima ticket.

Senior party officials and stakeholders were present at the event as the APC commenced the formal nomination process ahead of the election.
