ROTIMI CANADA THANKS AIYEDATIWA, ROYAL FATHERS, APC LEADERS AFTER 2027 TICKET


Hon. Rotimi Ade Akinwamide, popularly known as Rotimi Canada, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Constituency in the 2027 election, has expressed appreciation to the Ondo State Governor, His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, as well as traditional rulers, party leaders, members and supporters for their support throughout his political journey.

Akinwamide, in an appreciation message, described Governor Aiyedatiwa’s support, encouragement and guidance as significant to him, expressing gratitude for the confidence reposed in him.

He said he remained committed to justifying the trust placed in him and contributing meaningfully to the development of the constituency.

The APC candidate also expressed appreciation to His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Julius Oluwole Olufaderin Adetimehin, Jimoko II, the Jegun Olu-Ekun and Paramount Ruler of Ile-Oluji Kingdom, for his support, counsel and guidance.

Akinwamide similarly acknowledged His Royal Majesty, Oba Akintoye Felix Adeoye (Adegbite II), the Oluoke of Okeigbo, for his support and encouragement, noting that he valued the monarch’s confidence and goodwill.

He further thanked APC leaders, stakeholders, members and supporters across Ile-Oluji and Okeigbo Constituency for their solidarity and belief in the vision he said he shares with the people.

According to him, his aspiration is centred on service, development, inclusion and effective representation, adding that, if elected, he would work towards ensuring that the benefits of democratic governance and quality representation extend to communities across the constituency.

Akinwamide called for collective efforts towards building a constituency where residents have a voice and access to opportunities that can contribute to improved living standards and sustainable development.

He concluded by appreciating the people for their support, prayers, encouragement and goodwill, while praying for continued blessings for the governor, traditional rulers, party leaders, the APC and residents of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Constituency.

ONDO GOVT ORDERS TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SELECTED SCHOOLS AHEAD OF STATE ASSEMBLY ELECTION The Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has announced the temporary closure of selected public primary and secondary schools across the state ahead of the Ondo State House of Assembly election scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2026. According to a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, the affected schools are those designated as polling centres for the election across the 18 Local Government Areas of the state. The Ministry directed learners, teachers, and other staff members in the affected schools to remain at home on election day as part of measures to ensure the safety of lives and property and to support a peaceful and orderly electoral process.
