Gboluji Anglican Grammar School Old Students’ Association elects new national executives for 2026–2028 tenure

Prof. Tayo Nathaniel Fagbemi has emerged as the National President of the Gboluji Anglican Grammar School Old Students’ Association (GBOSA), following the successful conduct of the association’s national executive election held on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

The election, which took place at the School Hall of Gboluji Anglican Grammar School, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, was conducted peacefully, with the Electoral Committee declaring the exercise free and fair.

Prof. Fagbemi was elected unopposed to lead the association for the 2026–2028 tenure.

Also elected into the new national executive is Creative Designer Ayokanmi Akinladejo, who emerged as the National Publicity Secretary. Akinladejo was elected unopposed alongside several other members of the new executive team.

The newly elected national executives include Engr. Tunji Akinrelere as Vice President, alongside Dr. Olaolu Damilola Olaniyan and Dr. Oluwatoyin Adisa, who were also elected unopposed.

Alhaja Mrs. Taibat Odukoya Ajisegiri emerged as National Secretary, while Hon. Evangelist Mrs. Lovelyn Yemi-Eze and Mr. Henry O. Akinniranye were elected as National Assistant Secretaries, both unopposed.

Sir Tony Ikuyinminu Omo Baba Bursar was elected National Treasurer, while Pastor Adewale Ajimatanrareje emerged as National Financial Secretary.

Otunba Nicholas Adebiyi was elected National Director of Socials, while Creative Designer Ayobami Akinladejo was elected National Publicity Secretary.

The Electoral Committee further announced that some positions would be filled through appointments by the newly elected executives. These positions include two Ex-Officio members, an Auditor and a Legal Adviser.

Following the conclusion of the election, the newly elected officers were immediately sworn into office by Barrister Christopher Akinboun.

The Electoral Committee commended the delegates, Board of Trustees and members of GBOSA for their cooperation and commitment to ensuring a peaceful electoral process.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Hon. C. A. Akinrelere, the committee expressed appreciation to all stakeholders for the orderly conduct of the election.

The association also congratulated the new national executives and wished them a successful tenure as they take on the responsibility of steering the affairs of GBOSA.

The association reaffirmed its commitment to unity and collective development, with the election marking the beginning of a new administrative chapter for the old students’ body.

ONDO GOVT ORDERS TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SELECTED SCHOOLS AHEAD OF STATE ASSEMBLY ELECTION The Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has announced the temporary closure of selected public primary and secondary schools across the state ahead of the Ondo State House of Assembly election scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
