AKINDOLIRE CONGRATULATES FAJOLU ON SWEARING-IN AS ONDO SPECIAL ADVISER ON ENVIRONMENT


The Ondo State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Olaolu Akindolire, has congratulated Rt. Hon. Abimbola Tope Fajolu on his successful swearing-in and assumption of office as Special Adviser on Environment to the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

In a congratulatory message, Akindolire described the appointment as an opportunity for Fajolu to contribute to the state’s environmental management efforts and broader development agenda.

He noted that the new role carries responsibilities that are important to environmental sustainability, cleaner communities and the improvement of living conditions across Ondo State.

The commissioner expressed confidence that Fajolu’s experience, grassroots understanding and commitment to public service would be valuable in the discharge of his responsibilities as Special Adviser.

Akindolire also expressed his expectation that the appointment would further strengthen efforts towards sustainable environmental practices and contribute to development across the state, including Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo.

He wished Fajolu a successful and impactful tenure in office and expressed optimism about greater collaboration towards advancing the interests of the people of Ondo State.

ONDO GOVT ORDERS TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SELECTED SCHOOLS AHEAD OF STATE ASSEMBLY ELECTION The Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has announced the temporary closure of selected public primary and secondary schools across the state ahead of the Ondo State House of Assembly election scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2026. REPORTED CAR HIJACK ATTEMPT FOILED ON ONDO–ILE-OLUJI EXPRESSWAY A reported case of an attempted car hijacking occurred on Sunday along the popular Ondo–Ile-Oluji Expressway at Ota 'San in Ile-Oluji, Ondo State. According to information available to Opima RealNews, suspected armed men allegedly attempted to hijack a vehicle from its owner while the victim was driving along the road. However, the attempt was reportedly foiled following the intervention of security operatives.
